Andrew's tree house is struck by lightning, turning it into a time machine, and UG the cave boy finds himself in the present. Andrew shows him the wonders of cars, cookies and pillows that aren't rocks. Everything is new to UG. A curious guy who is willing to learn, but occasionally a bit too literal - don't tell UG to "hit the lights!" Andrew revels in the feeling of superiority he feels by being able to explain the modern world to UG, and he's not above inventing his facts. He's always looking for ways to liven up any situation - not exactly a linear thinker, cause and effect are just spelling words to him.
